Rewriting the Code welcomes new VP Strategic Development

Durham, NC – February 4, 2021

For immediate release: Rewriting the Code, a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting college and early career women with a passion for technology, is pleased to welcome Marcus Carpenter as our new Vice President of Strategic Development.

After a successful career stalking Big Ten linebackers as a fullback for the Wisconsin Badgers, Marcus shifted his sights to stalking strategic business solutions for his clients in the vibrant Minneapolis market. As a client-focused sales leader and MBA Candidate, he has a track record of providing revenue-generating business solutions. He is also a visionary, possessing genuine sales leadership skills. His achievements include leading sales organizations, winning the prestigious Presidents Club award for excellence, and implementing sales and marketing strategies for Fortune 500 companies including Philip Morris USA, The National Basketball Association, CA Technologies, and Jostens. A consummate professional, Marcus’ passion lies in exploring new markets through multi-level team building within his partner organizations.

Marcus will greatly assist RTC in advancing and scaling our work in advancing college and early career women in tech.”

Rewriting the Code partners with tech companies to provide 12-month continuous support for 1st through 4th year undergraduate computer science and engineering majors, graduate students, and RTC alumni who have launched their tech careers. Marcus brings a depth of experience and passion for equality and inclusion that will help RTC expand our relationships with talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion leaders. He will be working directly with our current partner companies, as well as seeking out new opportunities.
