We’ve been working behind the scenes on something big. You might’ve seen the announcements or watched one of our Behind the Build videos; on September 1st, a reimagined member experience, called myRTC, launches.

One member put it this way: “I’m piecing my career together across five platforms and a dozen tabs that weren’t built for me.” That’s exactly what we set out to fix. myRTC brings your whole early tech career into one place, built with input from members at every step.

Why we built it

teamRTC (our old platform) wasn’t working, for members or for us. We heard the complaints: clunky UX, hard-to-find information, and the hassle of having a ton of different websites (Handshake, LinkedIn, RTC) for career-related things.

We heard you.

So we built a new platform.

How Members Shaped It

Throughout the build, we included members. From asking questions in our Behind the Build videos to chatting with members in Slack. But one of the most important parts was the Beta Test.

We put out the call in our Slack channels and emails, and so many of you answered. We built 2 cohorts of 50 members each. Both reviewed the same experience, and what they flagged directly impacted the experience of those who followed.

One thing the first cohort noted: the calendar view on the events page was difficult to find. Our dev team immediately worked with UI/UX experts to fix it, and by the second cohort, it was gone.

One tester said RTC “actually sees you as a person first, not just a resume, and that changes everything about how you show up for yourself in your career.” RTC Member Athira put it simply: “This platform brings everything together in one place.”

What’s Launching

The biggest thing? myRTC is a custom-built platform for university and early career women in tech: every part of your career stack, in one place.

Showcases the new RTC platform with the myRTC logo and sections related to jobs, events & programs, educations & growth, support.

You’ll have access to:

  • Projects that turn into real resume bullets and portfolio-worthy work you can put in front of employers.
  • AI Career Coach and resume review that finds the gaps in your resume and gives you actionable feedback before you apply.
  • Career Paths that give you a clear next step when you’re not sure what’s next.
  • A consolidated Learning Hub, so everything you’re building stays in one place instead of a dozen tabs.
  • A mentorship platform that makes it simple to find the right mentor and book time with them.
  • Courses in partnership with NVIDIA and IBM SkillsBuild.

This isn’t just an upgraded version of teamRTC. This is a fully custom-built platform with women at the center, built to empower every facet of your tech career.
