Ways to volunteer

Rise education program
Deliver topics that align with your experience, passions, and expertise
RTC’s Rise Education Program provides year-round opportunities for members to develop both personally and professionally.
Live virtual sessions will be recorded for maximum community impact. Rise sessions fall into one of seven core areas:
- Interest exploration
- Recruiting success
- Confidence and self-care
- Professional acceleration
- Financial literacy and independence
- Tech trends and tools
- Cultural affirmation

MENTOR CIRCLES
Make a greater impact
As a mentor, you’ll be paired with a small, focused group of RTC mentees for a 1.5-hour mentoring session. These small groups facilitate a unique opportunity for you to have collaborative discussions with eager young women. This setting encourages personalized conversations, allowing participants to ask questions, share experiences, and gain valuable insights from seasoned professionals.
Mentors can choose from speaking with our early career women (between 1 and 6 years into their careers) or our undergraduate and graduate students.
Topics Include:
- Overcoming challenges when starting full-time roles
- Adjusting to a new city or state for work
- Capitalizing on internship experiences
- Balancing career and personal growth
- Navigating career development
- Open Q&A on career journeys
- Expert insights on key fields

1:1 MENTORING PROGRAM
Develop a personal connection
Volunteering as a Mentor is an easy and flexible way to give back.
Knowing that our Mentees’ needs fluctuate throughout the year, we have purposefully designed a program where Mentees can reach out to connect with a Mentor when they need one the most.
The Mentor and Mentee will decide on topics, timing, cadence, and the length of the relationship that works best for them. A Mentee can request a
single, purpose-driven meeting or enter a longer-term
mentoring relationship.
As the Mentor, choosing areas you feel comfortable helping women is up to you. You’ll have options to choose from on your Mentor Profile, but some common mentoring topics include:
- Setting professional/personal goals
- Providing feedback on resumes and interviewing skills
- Exploring career paths in tech
- Discussing success in the workplace
- And more!
