RTC gave me my international tech community. Moving to a new country for a summer internship, I felt a sense of isolation and uncertainty. However, discovering RTC UK was a game-changer. The community provided a welcoming and supportive environment where I could connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experienced mentors, and explore new technical concepts. One of the most valuable aspects of RTC was the opportunity to participate in technical and social events. These activities not only enhanced my technical skills but also helped me develop soft skills like communication and teamwork. The diverse community within RTC also exposed me to different perspectives and experiences. Beyond the summer, RTC continued to be a valuable resource. The online community provided a platform for ongoing networking and support. Joining RTC was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I have made, and I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my career journey.

Rewriting the Code has been a huge support for me. When I moved to the UK in January 2024 for my master’s, I felt lost and unsure of how to build my tech career as a woman in a new country. While job hunting, I looked for a community where I could learn and connect with others in similar situations, and that’s how I found RTC. From the moment I joined, I felt a sense of belonging—from Spotlight stories, job postings, to the discussions in Slack. Seeing other women share their experiences made me feel less alone and inspired.
