Virtual Career Summit for College Women Features Recruiters and

Industry Professionals from Duolingo, Goldman Sachs, Netflix, and More

DURHAM, NC (July 2, 2025) – Rewriting the Code (RTC), the global peer-to-peer network empowering women in tech, has announced its sixth annual Virtual Career Summit (VCS) on August 13, with registration now open. The one-day, zero-cost conference will have exclusive hiring opportunities for RTC women, personal interactions with recruiters from more than 25 major companies, interactive sessions and a keynote presentation with real-world insights, global peer networking, and more.

Attendees will experience direct interactions and get their resumes in the hands of recruiters from top companies who are actively recruiting for technical roles — ranging from Fortune 100 companies to the most buzzy startups. Participating companies include Duolingo, Goldman Sachs, Capital One, Liberty Mutual, Netflix, Nextdoor, Salesforce, and more.

“It is an especially tough time right now for women in tech, and we are proud that VCS provides accessible opportunities to prepare students and connect them directly with companies that value and prioritize women having a seat at every table,” said RTC Founder Sue Harnett. “This is more than a conference — it’s a blueprint for rewriting the tech pipeline narrative.”

All college women in tech are encouraged to attend. Hopeful attendees can sign up for the always-free RTC today to gain free access to the summit and join a supportive community of peers.

Last year, 2,200 undergraduate women from more than 410 colleges and universities in the U.S., London, Canada and Ireland attended the virtual conference. In 2024, 94% of attendees said they wouldn’t miss it this year.

Ruha Tacey, engineering career coach and advocate, will lead the keynote presentation with live Q&A. As the Founder and CEO of FutureChemE, a top STEM Ed platform, Tacey will encourage and equip attendees with tools to advocate for themselves in the workplace.

2025 VCS panels include “Crafting a Winning Technical Portfolio,” “CodeSwitch, but Don’t Shrink: Showing Up Authentically in Tech Spaces,” “It’s the PhD for Me: Exploring Graduate School as a Pathway to Power” and more. Company representatives will provide valuable resources on navigating the recruiting process, finding the right path in tech, and cultural affirmation in the workplace, followed by a virtual career fair and opportunities for direct attendee engagement.

The RTC annual Virtual Career Summit is a safe environment designed to champion young women and provide them with the tools, resources and knowledge necessary to succeed in their careers. Every year, the conference gives attendees insights and tips to help them navigate the hiring process, build their personal brand, and find fulfilling roles in the tech industry. Upon registration, attendees will have access to personalized resume reviews prior to the event.
