I joined RTC in my senior year of college, and since then, I’ve been fortunate to enjoy the strong community of women, the vast networking opportunities, and the valuable insights into the tech recruiting process and industry. The resources and mentoring I received from other women in the organization have been super helpful during the recruiting process as a new grad entering the field. Initially, I was nervous about entering a career in tech, a traditionally male-dominated field, and I struggled a lot with imposter syndrome. However, the support from RTC has helped me realize that there are women who are going through a similar experience and I’m part of a community that uplifts one another.

RTC gave me tremendous help during my undergrad years. When I first decided to pursue the software engineer route, I was confused on what exactly I should do. There are many people with glamorous resume and internship experience, but how did they get the opportunities? RTC revealed these for me, and from there, I have a path in mind of what to pursue in the next steps, eventually leading me to successfully secure a new grad software engineer job. In school, it’s hard to hear from recruiters’ side. LinkedIn connections are constantly ignored (which is understandable), school career fair line has a thousand people, virtual career fair recruiter chat slot becomes not available as soon as they are release. With RTC company events, I was finally able to hear direct answers from recruiters, even get 1:1 resume feedback.
