Rewriting the Code is committed to creating a welcoming community for diverse women in tech.
It is well documented that more diverse teams, with strong representation of ethnicity, cultures, genders, and perspectives, develop better products and services. We also know that bringing your authentic self into the workplace increases job satisfaction, and leads to a healthier work environment.
We built Rewriting the Code to retain and increase the number of college women in computing and the resulting pipeline of women engineers entering the technology workforce. Community-building among women who share a passion for tech is the cornerstone of Rewriting the Code. Together, we’re creating a space where every woman can be comfortable bringing her authentic self to the table, and where every woman will feel enabled to thrive.
During our recent Rewrite Your Future Virtual Career Summit, we had an opportunity to host a panel of amazing students to talk about what it means to be a diverse woman in the tech space. They are members of either our Black Wings or Latinas de RTC communities, the first of our intersectional groups created to foster a sense of inclusion and belonging by acknowledging the unique experiences Black and Latina women encounter in tech and creating a space to share and support each other.

Thanks to all of the women who make our Rewriting the Code community a welcoming and supportive place for college women in tech.
